Although primarily designed for use in our own coach kits our coach lighting system can be used in any vehicle that has metal framed bogies. The system features a two function DCC chip that can independently control two lighting circuits. Each circuit can be switched separately and the chip can be programmed to provide effects such as the flickering of an oil brake lamp. The system used LED's for cool running & minimum current draw. Current collection is through half-insulated steel wheels and the bogie frames, there are no pick-ups involved. When using a conventional DC supply the chip becomes 'transparent' and the intensity of the LED's will vary with the voltage supply to the track, going out altogether when the power track power is off. They will work, however, regardless of track polarity. Use warm white LED's for older coaches with incandescant lighting & cool white LED's for modern coaches with fluorescent lightimg. Pack includes function chip, LED strips, mounting bushes, wheels & miscellaneous components, to provide lighting for one coach. |
