26/04/10 Coach Kit Improvements

We are now stocking  state of the art CNC machined coach buffers manufactured by Markits. At present we are only listing those types that are relevant to our coach kits (please see the accessories page). Other types can be supplied to order. The buffers have a machined brass base with an internally sprung, non-rotating machined steel shank/head to the correct profile. They are supplied ready assembled.

Our S.R. Bulleid and L.N.E.R. Thompson corridor coach kits can now be supplied in an upgraded form with these new buffers included with the kit. 

27/04/10 Website Improvements

We are currently uploading Word file copies of the instruction sheets for our various kits. We also hope to include pdf files of the various instruction drawings. These can be accessed through the 'Instruction Sheets' page of this website. We are also simplifing the ordering selection of our range of coach kits, and where possible, including a pdf file with a drawing & prototype information with each kit description.

Coach and Van Kits

We produce a comprehensive range of etched brass coach kits currently covering the L.N.E.R./B.R.(E). Thompson stock, Southern/B.R.(S). Bulleid stock and L.M.S./B.R.(M) Period I suburban stock. The coach sides are pre-formed to the correct profile, where appropriate. Coach kits are also supplied with an etched brass floor & extruded aluminium roof, together with sprung buffers, whitemetal and cast brass fittings, glazing, interior, screw couplings, bogies and corridor connectors ( where appropriate). Wheels, transfers and paint are required to complete them.

We also produce van kits covering the 'Big Four' and also the early British Railways period. These are basically to the same specification as our coach kits except that most have a pre-formed brass roof. Four-wheeled vans have a compensated underframe, six-wheel types havung a 'Cleminson'  type arrangement in lieu of compensation.

Locomotive Kits

Our G.W.R. locomotive kits have now been withdrawn as such. They remain available as ready built models only. We will be batch building small runs from time to time, or specific models can be built to order. We can still supply most parts from the kits, the ones we keep in stock are listed on the accessories page of this site. Most other parts can be supplied to special order.

 

 

 

Ready Built Models

We endevour to keep a small selection of our kits available for 'off the shelf' sales of  ready built models. All the kits in our catalogue can be supplied as ready-to-run models to order, delivery usually taking between two to three months.. Prices can be found on the appropriate pages of this website. We charge a non-returnable deposit of 50% of the order total on confirmation of the order, the balance being payable immediately prior to dispatch. All R.T.R. orders are confirmed in writing as soon as possible after the order is placed. We are also always pleased to quote for the assembly of other manufacturers' coach and wagon kits.
